What's in the package?

When developing the new Microsoft Surface, Microsoft has paid very close attention to the feedback from users of the first editition of Surface. The new Surface is:

• quieter (30 dB)
• lighter (+/- 39 kg)
• faster (2,9 Ghz dual core processor AMD Athlon 11X2)
• more beautiful (oh, yes it is!)
• bigger (40 inch, 1920x1080 Full HD 1080p)
• thinner (4 inches, 4 inches!)
• cheaper ($7600,-)

You now can hang it on a wall and the software is Windows7 Touch compatible.

PixelSense

Microsoft also kept the unique capabilities of Surface. The infrared Vision System, PixelSense, that gives us 255 simultaneous contacts is still there as well as object recognition. The rotation of objects is still measured. A new feature is the tilt sensor that makes it possible to have software react to tilting of the display, e.g. during presentations.

Software

For months now, Sevensteps has been developing software for the new Microsoft Surface. The first product to be released is the Real Estate Agent for Microsoft Surface. Our software is available for the new Microsoft Surface, but also for Surface v1 and Windows 7 Touch.

Other products like the Locator and the Saleskit - which are already available for Surface v1 - will be available for the new Surface when it comes out too.
