Onderzoeksassistent

The Onderzoeksassistent (Dutch for Research Assistant) is the tool of choice for scientific researchers when researching the building and usage history of monuments in the Netherlands. The Onderzoeksassistent was developed in close cooperation with the Dutch Government Building Agency and is the standard, required tool for all monumental researches on Dutch government owned monuments.

Researchers use the Onderzoeksassistent conducting the research but the application also provides for multi channel publications of the assembled content. Information can be published on a website, Microsoft Surface, iPad, iPhone, but of course also on paper. The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Paleis Soestdijk, Naarden Vesting, Paleis op de Dam, Gevangenpoort in The Hague, Blokhuispoort in Leeuwarden, Slot Loevestein (all major monuments in the Netherlands) have been researched using the Onderzoeksassistent.
Expanding the work field
Starting January 1st 2011 not only the Government Building Agency but also the Rijksdienst Cultureel Erfgoed will use the Onderzoeksassistent. This increases the number of potential monuments to be researched from 600 to over 52000!
